How to Seduce a Queen by Stella Marie Alden Been Bookin'? Book Review

I was provided a copy of How to Seduce a Queen from the author herself Stella Marie Alden. It has been a pleasure to work with her through this process and I am excited to work with her again! How to Seduce a Queen follows Nicholas and Fay. Nicholas is a soon to be knight in the year 1283 who is ordered by his grandfather, the Earl of Annandale, to seduce the current queen, Fay, in order to impregnate her to combine the two royalties. Nicholas had been fulfilling these sexual quests to hopefully soon become a knight. 

In order to seduce Fay, Nicholas and his friend Eaton decide to pose as monks to be able to enter the castle at The Isle of Man without question. Fay instantly recognizes Nicholas as Sir Nicholas de Bruce whom she recently had a wonderful fling with in Scarborough, but ended in less than what she had hoped. He quickly leads her to believe that he is the step brother of Nicholas, Nicodemus, and she agrees to let him in. 

Over the course of the book, Fay finds herself more and more attracted to the monk, knowing that she is wrong for wanting the romance with a man who is married to God. They eventually are alone together and things escalate from there. 

I was quite pleased with this book. It is told in old English, so that should be expected once this book is picked up. Usually, I pick up grammatical errors in books very quickly, but with this book, Stella did a great job proofreading her work. I did not catch any misspellings or wrong uses. I love the story line and although this book is a romance book, it was not completely overloaded with sexual content, which made for a good story and a good surprise when those scenes actually came about. 

I will say that this book did not have as much detail as I would have liked. It felt like it was a really quick read, which could be good in some cases, but I felt like there could have been even more to enhance the story. Overall I rate this book with 4 notes!
