Sunday's Solution: Spending What Little Time You Do Have, With Who You Love

Today's Sunday Solution is going to be a bit different. I have been thinking a lot lately about a particular subject and I would really like to discuss it today, mostly to help myself get into the groove and to help those out there that need to do the same thing I do.

Having a 10 month old baby along with going to school and trying to keep up on housework all the time, makes it pretty hard to find some free time to do what I want to do. I have this addiction to my computer it seems like and so I always want to be on it when I don't have anything else to do. Well, I'm working on that and so my plan is to spend more time with my baby girl when she is awake and spend more time doing things for myself when she's not.

We all know how it is. The house work can wait, you can mow the lawn later, spend as much time with your little ones as you can while you still have the chance because they aren't little forever. I'm finding that to be so unbelievably true. My little girl is growing up before my eyes and I am starting to feel guilty for not enjoying all the time I have with her. My plan is to play with her, take her outside for a walk, take her to the park, read to her, do anything and everything with her while she is awake and wants my attention. I can even incorporate everyday activities into playing with her.

Bella loves music, which isn't surprising since that's my passion, but she loves to dance too. So, if I need to pick up the living room, why not play some music so I can sing and dance with her while actually doing some housework. This will show her that even housework can be fun, you just have to make it that way. Same thing with doing dishes. She can sit in her high chair or just sit in the kitchen and listen to music with me or even play some drums on the pots and pans. I have found that I can also have her sitting in her high chair when I'm cooking supper. I give her a bowl and some kind of spoon and BAM!! she's cooking with me and I'm spending quality time with her.

My main mission is to make sure that I find a way to incorporate her into whatever I'm doing, even if it's something simple. If she wants to sit on my lap while I'm typing my blog posts, why not? There's going to come a time when she isn't going to want to sit on my lap anymore so why not enjoy it while I can?

On the next note, when she needs to take a nap why not spend that time for myself? This should be my time to read the book I so desperately want to, or do my homework that needs to be done for the next week. These things can all get done while choosing to do them in a wise way. I know that I have a lot of work to do to get to the point I would like to be at, but I know I can do whatever I put my mind to. If you guys feel like you have the same issues I have, then we can work together to accomplish what we want. Anything's possible!
