What's New Wednesday: So Many Books, So Little Time! Grey, Modern Romance, The Rumor, and Country.

I really apologize for this week being so non existent when it comes to my posting. I have finals coming up next week and I've been extremely busy getting everything done for school. I hope you can all forgive me :)

Next week has a ton of books coming out that I would like to talk about. Usually, there are not too many that I can easily talk about. It seems like there are so many sequels and later books in a series, but next week looks like it has more solo books!

Grey: Fifty Shades of Grey Told by Christian by EL James in paperback

There are some strong opinions about the 50 Shades trilogy, but I personally enjoyed the amount that I read. I only got to the end of the second book because for some weird reason I have a hard time finishing series. Anyway, having the story told from Christian's point of view is going to be an interesting take. I almost feel like because of all the hate the series got, the different perspective will allow the "character" to explain why he is the way he is and maybe the books wouldn't seem so controversial. Then again, people are kind of weird and probably won't even care that there is another look at the situation. I would really like to read this just to see for myself. Of course I would need to finish the series first. Grey will be coming out on June 18th and can be purchased at Barnes and Noble for $9.99 in paperback.

Modern Romance by Aziz Ansari

So, I know that my personal opinions of people shouldn't effect my judgement on a book, but I find it a little weird that I would like to read this book. I'm not a huge fan of Aziz Ansari. He seems a little overbearing to me. Moving on. Aziz explains today's modern romance and the different things we have to go through today to find love. We have so many more options and abilities today than we did just decades ago and he doesn't understand why people are frustrated. This seems like a really good book to read when wanting to find a comedic take on love. Modern Romance will be coming out on June 16th and can be purchased at Barnes and Noble for $20.68.

The Rumor by Elin Hilderbrand

In The Rumor by Elin Hilderbrand, Madeline King has caught a case of writer's block and can't seem to pull out of it. Her best friend Grace is preoccupied with her garden and the handsome landscape architect. Grace soon runs into a problem of her own and realizes that maybe her problem could be Madeline's solution. The friends are then placed in a situation that sends a frenzy of rumors around the town and they begin struggling to set the rumor straight. Can they handle this on their own or is the rumor destined to stay alive? This book will be at Barnes and Noble on June 16th for $19.19.
Country by Danielle Steel

A love story mixed with music, I think this book was meant for me! Stephanie Adams is in a dead end marriage with a lawyer and has only stayed in the relationship for her kids whom she dedicates her entire life to. When her husband dies in a freak skiing accident, she has no choice but to move on and find herself for once in her life. With finding herself, she discovers several new places as well as a new man, Chase Taylor, who is a country music star. His music brings her into herself and shows that it is possible to find the person you were meant to be with later in life. Country will be available on June 16th and can be purchased at Barnes and Noble for $18.36.

These all look like great reads. Would you like to read any of these titles? I would love to know which one and why! Let me know in the comments :)
