What's In the Wings of Reading?

Being in school as well as being a full time mommy, sometimes sneaking in the time to read can be a little difficult, but I always try to read at least one book a week. On top of that I have three books in the wings at all times. As of now, I am about to finish Paper Towns by John Green which I will be reviewing tomorrow and I have Asylum  by Madeleine Roux, The Summer After You & Me by Jennifer Salvato Doktorski, and What to Listen for in Music by Aaron Copland in the wings.

All three books are extremely different, consisting of horror fiction, music non-fiction, and of course a classic fiction love story. I try to keep a variety of books in the wings, therefore I can have more of a choice when it comes down to choosing.

Asylum by Madeleine Roux
Genre: YA Horror
   Rating: 4 Stars
   Price: $7.66
Description: Dan Crawford, 16, attends the New Hampshire College Prep program, but once he arrives, he discovers that the ordinary dorms have been closed and the students are stuck in the rundown Brookline Dorm, previously a psychiatric hospital. Dan and his two friends then begin discovering the dark past of the building and the true nature of what happened there at one time.

The Summer After You & Me by Jennifer Salvato Doktorski
Genre: YA Romance
   Rating: 3.7 Stars
   Price: $9.99
Description: Lucy loves her home on the Jersey Shore, especially during the summer, but being a tourist town, she has learned to not get too close to the tourists. During the summer, she finds this hard with her summertime neighbor and crush, Connor. When hurricane Sandy hits, they are forced together but nothing stays the same after the storm passes. Will this summer be different? Could it be a second chance with Connor?

What to Listen for in Music by Aaron Copland
Genre: Non-Fiction Music
Rating: 4.5 Stars
Price: $7.95
Description: In this non-fiction work, Aaron Copland asks the reader two main questions; “Are you hearing everything that is going on?” and “Are you really being sensitive to it?” No matter what music you listen to, Copland brings you into a more intelligent understanding of what you are listening to.

These three books I have picked out are definitely books I recommend checking out.
